BCBA Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesClinical Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive behavioral assessments (e.g., FBA, VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, AFLS)
- Develop, implement, and update individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and treatment plans
- Design skill-acquisition programs and behavior-reduction strategies based on ABA principles
- Analyze client data regularly to monitor progress and modify treatment as needed
- Ensure all services are ethical, evidence-based, and compliant with BACB standards
Supervision & Training
- Supervise RBTs and/or behavior technicians in accordance with BACB supervision requirements
- Provide ongoing training, modeling, and performance feedback to clinical staff
- Conduct regular direct observations and competency evaluations
- Ensure accurate data collection and proper implementation of treatment plans
Family & Caregiver Collaboration
- Train parents/caregivers on behavior strategies and skill-generalization techniques
- Maintain consistent communication with families regarding progress, concerns, and goals
- Participate in parent meetings and care-coordination discussions
Documentation & Compliance
- Complete all required clinical documentation, including:
- Initial assessments
- Treatment plans
- Progress notes
- Discharge summaries
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, insurance, and funding-source requirements
- Meet all authorization, reauthorization, and reporting deadlines
Professional & Ethical Standards
- Adhere to the BACB Ethics Code for Behavior Analysts
- Maintain active BCBA certification and required continuing education units (CEUs)
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development activities
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (speech therapy, OT, schools, physicians)
Administrative & Organizational Duties (as applicable)
- Assist with intake evaluations and service recommendations
- Support scheduling, caseload management, and clinical quality assurance
- Provide consultation to schools or community partners when required
Pay: $60.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10.0 – 25.0 per week
