Medical Intake Coordinator (DME / Healthcare Office)
Location: Gretna, NE (Onsite)

Compensation: $40,000 – $50,000 (DOE)
About the Role
50 Med Supply is a growing healthcare company focused on providing respiratory and home medical equipment to patients. We are seeking a Medical Intake Coordinator to manage patient referrals, insurance verification, scheduling, and documentation.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in a clinic, hospital, or home health setting who enjoys keeping workflows organized, moving efficiently, and compliantly supporting patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Process incoming patient referrals from clinics and providers
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits
- Request, track, and follow up on required medical documentation
- Communicate with clinics regarding missing or incomplete referrals
- Contact patients to explain next steps and schedule equipment setups
- Coordinate with clinical and internal team members to ensure timely service
- Maintain accurate and HIPAA-compliant patient records
- Track referral status and follow up until completion

Required Qualifications
- Experience working in a medical office, clinic, hospital, or home health environment
- Familiarity with patient referrals, insurance verification, or intake workflows
- Comfortable using EHR or healthcare software systems
- Strong organizational skills and follow-through
- Professional phone presence and written communication
- Ability to manage multiple tasks without losing attention to detail
Preferred (Not Required)
- Intake or referral coordination experience
- DME or home medical equipment exposure
- Medicare / Medicaid familiarity
