Join our innovative Mobile Crisis Team! Southwestern Behavioral Healthcare is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Full-Time Peer Support Specialist to join our First Shift team. If you're passionate about making a real impact in times of crisis, we want to hear from you. Please note: Weekend availability is required.

Hourly rate for Crisis Service Peer Support Specialist with Certification by DMHA as a Certified Peer = $17/hour

Hourly rate for Crisis Service Peer Support Specialist with NO Certification = $16/hour

WHAT IS THIS POSITION RESPONSIBLE FOR?

  • Peer Recovery services, which include but are not limited to crisis intervention, community outreach and engagement.
  • Observe the progress client’s make toward meeting objectives and provide feedback to clients and treatment providers.
  • Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team of professionals.
  • Interact positively by phone and in person with individuals experiencing acute crisis.
  • Establish rapport using your personal experience as a person in recovery.

WHAT'S REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION?
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Certification as a Certified Peer Support Professional preferred. Eligibility to receive certification required.
    • To qualify for the CPSP, please visit: FSSA: DMHA: Indiana Certified Peer Support Professionals
  • Demonstrated proficiency with interpersonal and writing skills.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Must have valid driver's license, auto insurance that meets the Indiana State minimum coverage requirement and qualify for Company's vehicle liability insurance.
  • Candidates must pass required background checks including county/state checks and drug screen.
