Pay/Schedule:
- Pay range is between $23 and $29.35 per hour. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
- This is a temporary position with the potential for extension or conversion to a regular role.

What You Will Do:
The Residential Counselor classification is responsible for independently performing counseling duties in support of residential and/or housing services. Positions at this level exercise judgment and initiative in their assigned tasks, receives continuous coaching and direction or assistance as new or unusual situations arise, and are fully aware of the operating procedures and policies of the residential program.
Qualifications:
Education:
- High school diploma
Experience:
- A minimum of six (6) months of prior experience providing direct care to individuals with developmental disabilities who have challenging behavior
Licenses and Certifications:
- Possession of a valid California Driver’s License, a satisfactory driving record, and a properly registered and insured vehicle, to be maintained throughout employment
- Positions in the Crisis Home must become a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) within 12 months of employment.
- Complete online courses within a 180-day period or be a Qualified Behavior Modification Professional.
- Participation in RBT supervision as assigned.
- Possession of a valid California Driver’s License, a satisfactory driving record, and a properly registered and insured vehicle, to be maintained throughout employment.
