Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic School Psychologist to join our team in the Daly City area, working within a school setting. In this role, you will provide comprehensive psychological services to students, supporting their academic, social, and emotional development. Your expertise will help foster a positive learning environment by implementing evidence-based interventions, conducting assessments, and collaborating closely with educators, families, and healthcare professionals.

Duties

  • Consult and collaborate with school staff, parents, and outside agency personnel regarding the psycho-educational needs of students.
  • Facilitate educational success and advocate for the academic as well as mental needs of students.
  • Conduct psycho-educational assessments of children, as appropriate; may administer a variety of standardized and non-standardized instruments/procedures to collect data; areas assessed may include the following: social-emotional adjustment, cognitive processes, oral language processes, academic achievement, learning styles, adaptive behavior, and environmental.
  • Integrates evaluation information into an accurate overview used for determining intervention, programs and service needs; participates as a multidisciplinary team member and compiles information, which may include a written report integrating assessment results and implications
  • Consults and collaborates in developing and maintaining positive relationships among students, parents, and teachers, and involving them in assessment, interventions, and program evaluation procedures.
  • May provide, as workload/caseload allows, direct and indirect psychological interventions to facilitate the functioning of individuals and groups, such as developing, implementing and monitoring behavioral management strategies, providing group and individual counseling when able, designing intervention programs to enhance cognitive, affective, social, and vocational development in the school environment.
  • May assist in the development of in-service activities for the school and parent community, where appropriate.
  • Handles all other duties as assigned and complies with all company policies and applicable laws

Qualifications

  • Minimum of Master’s degree in Psychology, Educational Psychology, or School Psychology
  • Certification in Pupil Personnel Services Credential (PPS)
  • Valid state certification/license as a School Psychologist or equivalent credential.
  • Proven experience working with children in educational settings, including special education environments.
  • Strong knowledge of child & family counseling, crisis intervention, behavioral health, and psychological testing procedures.
  • Familiarity with IEP development, medical terminology, medical documentation, and medical records management.

Pay: $105,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
