- Observe and job shadow staff.
- Job shadowing may focus on attendant care services, psychosocial group services, case management services, wraparound services, parent support services and/or crisis resolution program services.
- Plan curriculum and/or help administer curriculum and interventions.
- Co-facilitate group therapy and/or parent education classes.
- Attend various trainings during the placement period, on various clinical topics.
- Research and present on a topic selected by the Training Director and Student. Student will present to a specific internal audience, coordinated through Family Service & Guidance Center’s Training Director.
- Additional duties as assigned by your field instructor.
- Job shadowing may focus on outpatient therapy services.
- Provide co-therapy with identified fully licensed clinician.
- Co-facilitate group therapy and/or parent education classes with a licensed clinician.
- Research and present on a topic selected by the Training Director and Student. Student will present to a specific internal audience, coordinated through Family Service & Guidance Center’s Training Director.
- Present and/or lead clinical trainings during placement period.
- Additional duties as assigned.
- Current enrollment and in good standing in an accredited master’s degree program majoring in social work or psychology.
- Must successfully pass the KBI and DCF Central Registry background investigations.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license, a good driving record, current auto insurance and reliable transportation.
- Passion and desire to work with children and families.
- 0-6 months experience working with children.
