Responsibilities
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on comprehensive assessments and diagnostic evaluations, ensuring alignment with best practices in applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Conduct patient assessments and intake procedures to gather detailed medical records, behavioral data, and relevant history.
- Implement behavioral therapy techniques tailored to children and individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities, utilizing data collection methods to monitor progress.
- Supervise and train behavior technicians and staff to ensure consistent delivery of interventions according to established protocols.
- Collect, analyze, and document medical documentation and records while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy.
- Perform ongoing patient care activities, including behavioral health evaluations and progress reports, ensuring accurate medical terminology is used throughout documentation.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, educators, and healthcare providers to coordinate care plans and facilitate effective communication during the diagnostic evaluation process.
Experience
- Proven experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities in a clinical or educational setting.
- Strong background in applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques and behavioral therapy strategies.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and patient assessment procedures.
- Experience conducting intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations within a behavioral health context.
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards related to medical documentation and patient confidentiality.
- Prior experience working with people with autism or other disabilities is highly preferred.
