Job Summary
We are seeking a licensed Social Worker or Licensed Professional Counselor to serve as an In-Home Therapist, providing comprehensive mental health services within clients' homes. This role involves delivering individualized therapy and support to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults, with a focus on fostering emotional well-being and behavioral health. The ideal candidate will have experience in clinical counseling, crisis intervention, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or mental health challenges. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact through personalized care in a flexible, community-based setting.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9, ICD-10, and CPT coding standards.
  • Develop and implement tailored treatment plans incorporating evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis.
  • Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions focused on issues such as grief, trauma (including PTSD), addiction, behavioral management, gender issues, and chronic pain management.
  • Deliver crisis management interventions and crisis stabilization services to clients experiencing acute mental health or behavioral crises.
  • Utilize telehealth platforms effectively to expand access to therapy services while maintaining HIPAA compliance and accurate medical documentation.
  • Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams including case management, medical professionals, special education providers, and community resources.
  • Maintain detailed medical records and documentation of patient care activities in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Engage in ongoing research and data collection to monitor treatment outcomes and improve service delivery.
  • Provide support for patients with autism spectrum disorders, developmental disabilities, or other special needs through specialized behavioral therapies and direct support strategies.
  • Educate families and caregivers on behavior management techniques and therapeutic strategies to promote ongoing progress outside of sessions.

Skills

  • Extensive knowledge of psychotherapy modalities including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, grief counseling, substance abuse treatment, and art or dance therapy.
  • Proficiency in crisis intervention techniques and crisis management protocols.
  • Strong experience working with children, adolescents, individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), geriatrics, or those with complex mental health needs such as PTSD or chronic pain.
  • Familiarity with ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems for accurate diagnosis documentation; CPT coding for billing purposes.
  • Ability to utilize telehealth technology effectively while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA standards.
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging clients across diverse backgrounds and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology related to behavioral health and mental health counseling practices.
  • Experience in case management, patient assessment, intake procedures, and clinical research methodologies.
  • Compassionate approach combined with strong organizational skills necessary for managing multiple cases efficiently. This position is vital for delivering high-quality mental health services directly within the community setting while supporting clients' overall well-being through personalized therapeutic interventions.

Pay: $87,885.89 - $105,841.08 per year
