Under the supervision of a licensed psychologist, a Psychologist Associate provides psychological services which may include, but is not limited to, psychological testing, evaluations, and treatment.
Responsibilities:
- Provides input concerning appropriate tests and evaluation tools utilized by the division.
- Administers, scores, and interprets appropriate standardized tests and behavior rating scales.
- Prepares comprehensive, clearly written analysis/reports.
- Cooperates in research projects as compatible with clinical schedule and patient needs.
- Provides diagnostic developmental and behavioral assessment of patients with a variety of developmental, behavioral and mental health concerns.
- Conducts focused interviews to elucidate the nature of the presenting problem as well as relevant developmental, psychological, behavioral and social contributions to the problem.
- Provides behavioral health services, using empirically validated treatments and interventions.
- Provides behavioral health services in using an acute and maintenance model.
- Schedules sufficient volume of patients so that direct service productivity standards are maintained within the department.
- Practice in a way that recognizes and respects diverse populations.
- Screens for the presence of safety and priority issues and takes appropriate action when identified.
- Maintains regular supervisory time with a licensed psychologist.
- Master's degree in psychology or related field and actively enrolled in a program to obtain an advanced degree in Psychology.
- 1 year experience in psychology or related field.
- Excellent clinical interviewing and assessment/therapy skills to work with patients and families.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Actively working towards PA Psychologist License.
- Act 31 / Act 33 / Act 34 / Act 73 with renewal
