Job Summary
Seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Addiction Counselor (CAC) to join our community-based behavioral health team in Washington, DC. This role supports individuals and families impacted by substance use disorders through trauma-informed and culturally responsive care. Full-time or part-time scheduling options may be available.
Responsibilities
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions.
- Complete intake assessments, treatment plans, and case management services.
- Document all services in accordance with state and agency standards.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development.
- Support community initiatives, including violence interruption and recovery programs.
Qualifications
- Active Certified Addiction Counselor (CAC) credential in Washington, DC.
- Minimum of 1 year of counseling experience in addiction or behavioral health.
- Strong knowledge of addiction medicine and trauma-informed care.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to serving diverse and underserved communities.
Compensation & Benefits
- Compensation: $65,000–$85,000 per year (depending on experience).
