Behavioral Health Clinic Therapist (QMHP)

Location: Chicago, IL
Schedule: Monday–Friday, Full-Time
Salary: $57,000–$60,000 per year

Search Inc. is looking for a caring and motivated Behavioral Health Clinic Therapist (QMHP) to support adults with mental illness and intellectual or developmental disabilities. About the Role: As a Behavioral Health Clinic Therapist, you will work with adults in both the community and at our program sites. You will create treatment plans, provide therapy, help clients manage daily challenges, and offer case management and support.
This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position. Some flexibility is needed for occasional evening or weekend work based on client needs.

You will report directly to the Division Manager of the Behavioral Health Clinic.

Free clinical supervision may be available for qualified candidates.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide supportive counseling to help clients cope with emotions, solve problems, and work toward their goals
• Assess each client’s strengths and needs
• Create and carry out treatment plans centered around each client
• Document all services, progress, and assessments in the database following Medicaid rules and agency policy
• Facilitate individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, community support, and case management when needed
• Complete Medicaid and Managed Care billing notes within 48 hours
• Follow all Medicaid, Managed Care, and agency rules and requirements
• Complete other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

• A master’s or doctoral degree in counseling, rehabilitation counseling, social work, psychology, pastoral counseling, family therapy, or a related field

AND

• 1,000 hours of supervised practicum/internship or
• One year of clinical experience under a QMHP
• A valid driver’s license, car insurance, and reliable transportation to travel between sites
• Strong computer, writing, and communication skills
• Ability to pass all required background checks
