Hours: 3–6 hrs/week
Commitment: 6–12 months
Role Summary
Provides trauma-informed emotional support, psychoeducation, safety planning guidance, and stabilization services to survivors of domestic violence. This role does not provide therapy — it offers supportive services within a DV, non-clinical scope.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide trauma-informed emotional support sessions (non-therapeutic)
- Assist survivors in understanding trauma responses
- Support safety planning and crisis stabilization
- Consult with staff on trauma-informed best practices
- Help develop survivor workshops (healing, boundaries, coping skills)
- Ensure all services follow DV confidentiality and ethics
Qualifications
- Active LCSW in Illinois
- Strong trauma-informed care knowledge
- Domestic violence experience preferred
- Grounded, emotionally regulated, survivor-centered
