LVN care coordinator/ Administrative support

Job Overview
California Neurosurgical Specialists is a leading neurosurgery practice dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care. We are seeking a professional, compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team and support our mission of providing outstanding service to every patient who comes through our doors.

Key Responsibilities

Clinic Flow & Patient Experience

• Welcome and assist patients upon arrival to ensure a positive and efficient experience.
• Answer incoming calls with professionalism, address patient inquiries, and route calls appropriately.
• Schedule and manage patient appointments using our electronic scheduling system.
• Ensure insurance information is accurate and complete for our verification team prior to appointments.
• Escort patients to exam rooms, ensuring comfort and preparedness for their visit.
• Triage patient calls, prioritizing urgent concerns and notifying clinical staff as needed.

Administrative & Clinical Support

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including documentation of treatments and services.
• Assist with payment processing and contribute to a clean, organized, and welcoming office environment.
• Communicate clearly with patients regarding care instructions, treatment plans, and follow-up needs.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians and the healthcare team to support optimal patient outcomes.
• Adhere strictly to infection control protocols and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• LVN license in good standing.
• Knowledge of neurosurgical practices is highly desirable but not required.
• Familiarity with EMR systems (Elation, Tebra, Epic) preferred but not required.
• Strong understanding of anatomy and medical terminology required.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and patient-care skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
