School-Based Social Worker - Escondido, California

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Social Worker or Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT/LCSW) is needed to provide counseling and therapy services at multiple elementary schools in the Escondido, CA area. This contract position runs through the end of the school year (CSY), serving students within an elementary school setting. The role requires a licensed CA LMFT or CA LCSW, with no PPS credential necessary.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid California LMFT or LCSW license
• Experience providing counseling and therapy sessions to children in elementary schools
• Ability to manage a caseload and deliver individualized mental health support
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, families, and school staff

Responsibilities include:

• Conducting individual and group counseling sessions based on student needs
• Collaborating with school personnel to identify mental health concerns and develop treatment plans
• Providing therapy that supports emotional, social, and behavioral development
• Maintaining clear and confidential documentation of services rendered
• Managing multiple school assignments within the district and adapting to varied student requirements

This full-time position offers approximately 30 hours per week onsite, with oversight provided by district supervision staff as needed. The role requires flexibility and professional judgment to support students across several schools within the district.
