Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW must be Licensed)

Contracted LCSW for DayOut, ADHC in El Centro and Brawley

El Centro between 14-16 hours a month

Brawley between 12-16 hours a month

Duties and Responsibilities

The consultant shall provide at least the following:

1. Participation in the initial and continuing assessments for the development of an

individual plan of care by the multidisciplinary team when indicated.

2. Maintenance of signed progress records in the participant’s health record when

indicated.

3. Liaison with other members of the multidisciplinary team, family members, and referral

agencies that may yield information for psychiatric or psychological treatment.

4. Group counseling and techniques, as indicated for participants’ needs.

5. The consultant services are indicated by participant’s needs:

A. The participant’s diagnosis or medical history indicates a mental, emotional, or

behavior problem.

B. Information from the participant’s family indicates mental, emotional, or

behavioral problems may exist.

C. The psychosocial assessment developed by the social worker indicates apparent

mental, emotional, or behavioral problems that need further assessment by a

psychiatrist, psychologist, psychiatric social worker, or psychiatric nurse.

D. Observation by center staff indicates the need for psychiatric or psychological

assessment.

***Services shall provide a therapeutic setting conducive to restoring dignity,

self-esteem, and good mental health to all participants.

Techniques such as group socialization activities that restore or expand normal social roles,

individual and group therapies in various forms such as reality orientation, art and music

therapy, psycho-social drama, counseling, and discussion shall be a part of the general

program.

Specialized techniques and mental health treatment supervised by a Psychiatrist, Psychologist,

or Psychiatric Social Worker may be provided as part of the plan of care by appropriately

qualified personnel.

Requirements

• Tuberculosis Clearance (not more than 12 months prior to employment, or within

seven days of employment).

• Current health examination (not more than 12 months prior to employment, or within

seven days of employment).

• Current Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) /First Aid Certification.
• Be knowledgeable of ADHC/CBAS laws, regulations, CBAS Certifications

Standards, CBAS Standards of Participation, and Policies and Procedures. Provide

on-going staff training and education.
