Associate Clinician (AMFT/ASW/APCC)

The Role

You’ll deliver high-quality, client-centered behavioral health services in clinic and virtual settings. Unlicensed clinicians practice under BBS supervision; licensed clinicians function more independently while mentoring peers. You’ll drive outcomes through timely documentation, ethical practice, and collaborative care.

What You’ll Do

• Maintain an active caseload; conduct intakes, mental health screenings, and psychosocial assessments.

• Provide individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and limited case management.

• Create and update treatment plans; document all services within policy timeframes and payer/program standards.

• Participate in weekly individual/group supervision (unlicensed) and quality reviews.

• Complete discharge reviews and close charts accurately.

• Uphold confidentiality and mandatory reporting (Child/Elder/Dependent Adult Abuse; Tarasoff) per California law.

• Partner with internal teams and community agencies; contribute to program design and continuous improvement.

• Join staff meetings/trainings; respond effectively in emergencies; model professional, respectful communication.

• Other duties as assigned.

What You Bring (Minimum Qualifications)

Unlicensed Clinician (ASW/AMFT/APCC):

• Master’s in a behavioral health field; active BBS associate registration.

• Eligible and committed to weekly supervision (provided).

Licensed Clinician (LCSW/LMFT/LPCC):

• Current California license in good standing.

All Candidates:

• Demonstrated skills with individuals, families, and groups.

• Strong written/verbal communication; comfort with EHR workflows.

• Intermediate tech skills (Microsoft 365, Teams, Zoom).

• Reliable transportation, valid CA driver’s license, and insurability per agency requirements.

• Professional relationship management with clients, colleagues, partners, and vendors.

• Cell phone availability for work needs.
