A school psychologist opportunity is available for a contract position serving two elementary school sites in the San Diego area. This role provides critical psychological services to support the academic, social, and emotional well-being of elementary-aged students within a structured, 37.5-hour workweek over five days.

Location: San Diego, CA
Setting: Elementary School (2 sites)
Duration: Contract, Current School Year (CSY)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 5 days per week
Age Group: Elementary students

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify student needs
  • Develop and implement intervention plans in collaboration with educators and families
  • Provide counseling and support services to students exhibiting academic, behavioral, or emotional challenges
  • Consult with teachers and staff to develop strategies supporting student success
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and report writing

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid CA PPS (Pupil Personnel Services) credential in School Psychology
  • Proven experience working in school settings, preferably elementary education
  • Strong assessment and counseling skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with school personnel, parents, and students
