Mental Health Therapist LMFT, LCSW, LPCC or AMFT, ACSW, APCC

We are preferably looking for a full time licensed or associate therapist interested in a specialization in couple therapy in a private practice, small group setting. Therapists caseload would be 50 percent couples and families and 50 percent individual clients. Part time hours could also be available.

Position will include mentorship from Catherine Cundy, who specializes in working with couples and families.

Must have current California associate number. Prefer two years counseling experience however, new graduates are encouraged to apply. For the right applicant with a commitment to longevity, employer will pay for Gottman level one or other couple therapy or trauma model. Employee will be responsible for some aspects of billing and accounting.

Applicant will also have the freedom to develop their own individualized clientele based on personal interest and supported by employer. In person or tele-therapy opportunities. Therapy office has a designated "play therapy/art room" for working with children, teens, and adults. This position is an excellent opportunity for a person who wants to eventually run their own private practice. Associate will work in a beautiful therapy building with 8 other therapists who add to the supportive environment. This position is is for the individual who desires work/life balance and an environment that values self-care and self-as-therapist development.

Applicant must be able to demonstrate the following skills:

• Suicide and crisis management assessment and management.
• Comprehensive understand of one primary therapeutic modality.
• Ability to maintain ethical and legal requirements of profession.
• Ability to maintain accurate documentation and treatment planning.
• Ability to demonstrate diagnostic assessment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal relationship skills.
• Ability to participate inactively supervision.
• Ability to market oneself and connect in the local therapeutic community.

Supervisors experience level.

• CAMFT Certified Supervisor
• 12 years Supervisor Experience
• 8 years experience as Adjunct Professor teaching Couple Therapy, Practicum Courses, Introductory Counseling Skills, Advanced Counseling Skills, Developmental Psychology and Law and Ethics.
• Specializations: Couple therapy, family therapy, relationship work, and Trauma.
• Post Graduate Training: Gottman Couple Therapy, Relational Life Therapy, EMDR, CBT, Trauma Focused Art Therapy, Play Therapy and Sandtray Therapy.
• Supervisor can support Associate in development of many therapeutic models and is open to learning new theory along side of Associate.

Employer/supervisor has ample referrals and mentorship in how to find the clients they want to work with. Employer is open to applicants who would need to relocate to the Redding area. Shasta County is in need of additional mental health professionals.

Pay: $45.00 - $80.00 per hour
