Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatrist to join our dynamic behavioral health team. In this vital role, you will provide expert psychiatric care to diverse patient populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Your expertise will help diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of mental health conditions through comprehensive evaluations, medication management, psychotherapy, and crisis intervention. Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with active medical license to practice psychiatry in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Completion of residency training in Psychiatry with post-residency experience preferred; experience in pediatric psychiatry is highly valued.
- Proven experience working with children, adolescents, adults, or geriatrics in outpatient or inpatient settings; hospital experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of mental health disorders including PTSD, developmental disabilities, addiction issues, and behavioral health conditions.
- Proficiency in psychotherapeutic techniques such as psychodynamic therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy.
- Experience with psychiatric medication management (psychopharmacology) and diagnostic evaluation tools.
- Familiarity with telehealth platforms and delivering remote patient care effectively while adhering to HIPAA standards.
- Ability to handle crisis situations with calmness and professionalism; excellent crisis management skills are essential.
- Skilled in medical documentation using appropriate medical terminology; experience managing medical records securely is required.
- Knowledge of medical records systems and data collection processes for accurate patient tracking and reporting.
- Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse populations including those with developmental disabilities or complex mental health needs.
