Job Title: Mental Health Clinician (PSYL / LCSW)

Location: Wasco, CA

Schedule: Any 3 days in a week - 3x10 hours

Pay Rate:

• Clinical Psychologist: $152/hr. on 1099
• Licensed Clinical Social worker: $85/hr on 1099

About the Role

We’re hiring Mental Health Clinicians (Psychologist or LCSW) to join our team in a correctional healthcare setting. You’ll play a vital role in supporting inmates or youth with mental health needs — providing therapy, crisis care, and guidance to help them achieve stability and growth.

What You’ll Do

• Conduct mental health assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide therapy sessions (individual, group, or family) using evidence-based approaches like CBT.
• Respond to crisis situations and perform suicide risk evaluations.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and coordinate ongoing patient care.
• Document treatment progress using standard formats (SOAPE notes).
• Support patients with pre-release planning and connection to community resources.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow all CDCR and ethical guidelines.
• Occasionally serve as Clinician-of-the-Day for on-call mental health emergencies.

What We’re Looking For

• Active California license Psychologist (PSYL) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• At least 1 year of recent mental health experience (clinical or correctional preferred).
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Compassionate, dependable, and able to work effectively in a secure environment.
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association preferred).
