Join Linden Oaks as a Counselor providing individual and group therapy to students with diverse learning, behavioral, and neurological profiles. For more than 65 years, our interdisciplinary team has supported students with language, learning, emotional, and developmental needs. You’ll play a critical role in helping them grow socially, emotionally, and academically.
What You’ll Do
- Provide individual, group, and consult-based counseling services aligned to IEP goals.
- Fulfill assigned direct service hours using evidence-based, student-centered practices.
- Conduct assessments, collect and analyze data, and document progress for all assigned students.
- Write and present counseling-related reports at IEP and other student meetings.
- Input daily attendance and maintain accurate session notes and progress logs.
- Prepare quarterly progress reports and maintain organized therapy charts/records.
- Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, therapists, and administrators to support student growth.
- Train, support, and oversee therapy assistants, interns, and classroom staff as needed.
- Maintain responsible stewardship of materials, equipment, and departmental resources.
What We’re Looking For
- Master’s degree in counseling, clinical psychology, social work, or related field.
- Valid California PPS Credential in School Counseling or related clinical license (LPCC, LMFT, LCSW, etc.).
- Experience providing counseling or mental health services in school, clinical, or therapeutic settings.
- Strong documentation, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to support and model crisis prevention and intervention techniques.
- Commitment to student-centered, inclusive, trauma-informed practice.
