School Psychologist in Ontario, CA- Start ASAP!

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8am-3:45pm daily, 7 hours/day, 35 hours/week.
Pay: $60-70/hour depending on experience, paid weekly
Location: Ontario, CA. 100% onsite.

Job Requirements

  • Master's in School Psychology
  • PPS Credential in either School Psychology in CA required, cannot accept interns.
  • You must have a solid understanding of various learning disabilities, mental health, and child development.

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist to join our educational team in Ontario, CA. This role is to provide counseling, assessments and supporting students' mental health needs across the district. This role involves collaborating with educators, parents, and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment for all students, particularly those with special needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provider will conduct assessments, provide IEP counseling services, attend IEP meetings, and participate in student study team meetings for our virtual independent study academy.
  • Your responsibilities include student testing, counseling, IEP meetings, writing reports.
  • You will provide educationally related mental health services to students with IEPs.
  • You must have a solid understanding of various learning disabilities, mental health, and child development.
  • You must have experience with BIPs, counseling, consultation and assessment.
  • You will communicate effectively with students, families, teachers, administration, etc.

Skills

  • Proficient in psychological testing methodologies and interpretation of results.
  • Strong understanding of IEP processes and special education regulations.
  • Experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities and their families.
  • Excellent skills in individual and group counseling practices.
  • Knowledge of behavior management strategies and interventions.
  • Familiarity with school psychology principles and practices.
  • Strong case management skills, including documentation and follow-up procedures.
  • Effective conflict management abilities to resolve disputes among students.
