Smile Pediatric Therapy & Diagnostics (Smile) is a play-based, pediatric assessment and treatment center providing Applied Behavioral Analysis, the Early Start Denver Model, Speech-Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Sensory Integration, Feeding Therapy, and Social Skills programs for incredible children from birth through adolescence. Our Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) Behavior Interventionists work primarily with children between the ages of 12 months - 5 years.

Smile Pediatric Therapy & Diagnostics (Smile) is a play-based, pediatric assessment and treatment center that positively makes a difference every day. WE ARE LOOKING FOR A DYNAMIC INDIVIDUAL TO JOIN OUR TEAM AS AN ESDM BEHAVIOR INTERVENTIONIST/BEHAVIOR TECHNICIAN!

The ESDM Behavior Interventionist will work closely with our Behavioral Therapy Leadership to provide direct behavior therapy services to individuals with autism and work as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: (please DO NOT apply if you do not meet ALL qualifications as your application will not be considered)

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Have access to daily use of a vehicle with at least minimum liability insurance (position involves driving to and from client's home/school/etc.)
  • Able to work within some of the following catchment areas: Koreatown, Echo Park, Silverlake, Glendale, Pasadena, etc.
  • Be available to work between the hours of 3pm - 7pm

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • One to three years of experience in providing treatment to children with or at risk for ASD with knowledge of Applied Behavioral Analysis and/or DIR/Floor-Time Treatment Approaches, and/or the ESDM
  • At least 6 months of experience working with the pediatric population (12 months to 14 years of age)
  • Bilingual speaking is a plus

SPECIAL DOCUMENTS REQUIRED:

  • CPR & First Aid Certified
  • Livescan-Background Check, TB clearance, & Health Screening
  • Immunization for Pertussis and Measles
  • Immunization for Influenza (annual requirement)
