The Residential Advisor & Administrative Coordinator is a full-time, live-in position that offers a unique professional development opportunity for individuals exploring a career in performing arts administration. This role aims to create a safe and supportive living environment in the Residence Hall that caters to the intensive needs of Conservatory and Academy students as musicians and dancers. This hybrid role combines part-time responsibilities in Residence Life with administrative support for various departments across the institution, depending on seasonal needs, special projects, events, and summer programs. The individual will report jointly to the Manager of Residence Life and designated supervisors within the department(s) to which they are temporarily assigned.
The Residential Advisor & Administrative Coordinator must live on campus in the Residence Hall at The Colburn School (a one-bedroom apartment is provided as a non-taxable benefit) and must not hold a second job outside of Colburn. This is a year-round, full-time position which also supports an active schedule of summer conferences, festivals, and programs.
This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is eager to gain broad exposure to multiple facets of arts administration—including but not limited to community engagement, career development, student affairs, operations, admissions, production, and special programming.
