At Alter Behavioral Health, every session matters - and every Therapist plays a role in transforming lives. We’re seeking a compassionate, motivated Part-Time Therapist to join our weekend clinical team. This role is ideal for a clinician who wants to make a meaningful impact while maintaining work-life balance.

Schedule: Saturday & Sunday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Compensation: $34–$37 per hour (DOE)
Location: One of our Orange County residential treatment facilities (Dana Point, San Juan Capistrano, Capistrano Beach, or Irvine).

What You’ll Do

  • Client Therapy & Care Facilitate group therapy sessions, conduct client check-ins, and support treatment plan implementation over the weekend.
  • Collaborate & Communicate Coordinate with weekday therapists and the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless transitions and consistent care
  • Documentation & Compliance Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory and company standards.
  • Clinical Engagement Support weekend programming that reinforces coping skills, stability, and recovery-focused interventions.

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Marriage & Family Therapy, Social Work, or related field.
  • BBS registration/licensure (AMFT, ASW, or APCC required).
  • Prior experience in mental health treatment preferred; EMDR or Brainspotting training a plus.
  • Valid California Driver’s License.
  • Clear Livescan background check and drug screen.
  • Current CPR & First Aid Certification.
  • Ability to safely engage with clients experiencing psychiatric symptoms or distress.

Regulatory & Compliance Expectations

  • Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations, including DHCS, DSS, and Joint Commission standards.
  • Follow company policies on safety, confidentiality, and ethical conduct.
  • Participate in audits, training, and continuous quality improvement efforts.
