Wellspring is a statewide nonprofit dedicated to serving seniors, families, and children throughout Michigan. We are currently seeking a Family Preservation Supervisor to join our Families First program, supporting families throughout Saginaw and Gratiot counties. In this leadership role, you will provide supervision, support, and guidance to staff delivering intensive, short-term, home-based services that help keep families together and children safe.
Responsibilities
As a Family Preservation Supervisor with Wellspring–Families First, you will:
Provide individual supervision and professional leadership to direct service staff, support staff, and interns.
Ensure program compliance with contracts, licensing, accreditation standards, and agency policies.
Conduct quarterly case reviews and oversee documentation and data entry into agency and contractor systems.
Coordinate referrals, intake processes, and case assignments to ensure timely service delivery.
Monitor and approve reports, including incident reports and case documentation.
Support recruitment, onboarding, and evaluation of staff; complete six-month and annual performance reviews.
Develop and implement performance improvement plans as needed.
Promote staff morale and collaboration through regular team meetings and training opportunities.
Manage unit expenses, staff reimbursements, and petty cash accounts.
Provide direct client services as required by contract or program needs.
Represent Wellspring in community networks and coordinate services with other agencies and professionals.
Maintain 24-hour availability for staff and clients as needed and support flexible scheduling to meet family needs.
Transport clients in your own vehicle when necessary.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in social work or a human services related field required.
Two years of field experience working with children and families required.
Strong supervisory, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to motivate and support team members in a collaborative environment.
Current and valid driver’s license, vehicle registration, and auto insurance required.
Schedule and Compensation
Hybrid-Remote position – home-based with travel throughout Saginaw and Gratiot counties.
- In-office team meetings and supervision with staff.
Flexible schedule with 24-hour availability as needed.
Starting salary: $47,500/year (based on experience and education).
Mileage reimbursement for work related travel
