Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A contract opportunity is available for a skilled School Psychologist to support student well-being and academic success in a dynamic school environment located in San Francisco, CA. This role focuses on providing comprehensive psychological services to students, collaborating with educators and families, and contributing to a positive learning atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual and group psychological assessments to identify students needs and strengths.
- Develop and implement intervention plans tailored to support students social, emotional, and learning development.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to address student challenges and promote effective educational strategies.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute professional insights to enhance student support initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of assessments, interventions, and communications in compliance with school policies and legal requirements.
- Provide crisis intervention and consultation services as needed.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist.
- Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments and providing counseling services in an educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of child development, learning disabilities, behavioral interventions, and mental health issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, families, and school personnel.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in sensitive situations.
- Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations related to special education and student services.
