Responsibilities
- Conduct fitness-for-duty evaluations and psychiatric assessments for staff, including physicians, advanced practice providers, and residents.
- Provide crisis intervention and brief therapeutic support following workplace incidents.
- Evaluate employees for impairment and formulate appropriate treatment and return-to-work plans.
- Collaborate with internal programs, external agencies, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and optimal care.
- Perform pre-placement evaluations and substance-use screening reviews.
- Contribute to hospital committees, employee wellness initiatives, and foster a supportive workplace environment.
- Support employees through psychiatric accommodations and crisis management, ensuring safety and well-being.
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
- Board Certified in Psychiatry.
- Active New York State medical license.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in occupational, consultation-liaison, or adult psychiatry.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to work effectively with healthcare teams.
