Behavior Technician/Registered Behavior Technician (BT/RBT) Floater

Full Time/Non-Exempt

Hours: 30 hours/week guaranteed; can work up to 40 hours/week (Monday through Friday 8-6:00pm)

Location: Roselle Park, Plainfield, Scotch Plains, Springfield, Elizabeth

Compensation Range: $25-30.00/per hour *Not eligible for mileage reimbursement

Reports to: NJ State and Regional Directors

Position Summary:

The BT/RBT Floater is responsible for providing session coverage as needed to clients and students within their assigned region. This position does not have a fixed schedule. The Floater must be flexible and available to receive same-day assignments. If billable hours are not available, then administrative duties will be assigned. The Floater is responsible for the implementation of the Individual Support Plan and must be supervised by either a BSC or Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The Floater is also responsible for implementing the goals and objectives outlined in the Individual Support Plan and/or the programming created by the BCBA for insurance funded, district, or home cases.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work 1:1 with client in independent and group settings within the designation region
  • Read and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Collect session data and submit documentation in a timely manner
  • Support healthy communication, social and behavioral skills
  • Provide interactive therapeutic support to extinguish or minimize maladaptive behaviors
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to increase positive behavioral outcomes
  • Complete administrative tasks when billable hours are not available

Team:

This role will be part of the clinical team, reporting to the NJ State and Regional Directors.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field (Psychology, Education, Social Work)
  • 2 years working with children
  • Comfortable in working with a variety of children and behavioral needs across a variety of settings without direct support from a supervisor
  • Demonstrate strong competence and confidence with ABA principles, concepts, interventions
  • Perform administrative tasks as assigned which may include creating program materials and caring for the environment within assigned clinics
  • Competent in using technology for daily documentation
  • Strong interpersonal and documentation skills
  • Willingness to accept and implement feedback
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel and run during shift

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years of working in a direct care human services profession preferred
  • RBT Certified (High School Diploma accepted)
