FOLSOM - Looking to fill a VARIABLE (working part-time and full-time hours) position for an adult ASD client, early 20s. The schedule would be varied per the client's needs including church on Sundays, AAC device training, etc.

This position will include RESPITE hours as well!

RBT/BCAT Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ability to fill in client sessions for call outs
  • Establishes & maintains therapeutic relationship by pairing self as a reinforcing entity and building the value for the client of social interaction with the BT
  • Prompts safe and socially acceptable replacement behaviors in order to build a repertoire of communication, social interaction, and problem solving skills
  • Fades prompts appropriately to promote both successful and independent responding
  • Increases the frequency or duration of safe and appropriate replacement behaviors by providing access to reinforcers (desired items/actions, attention, or removal of demands/aversive situations)
  • Accurately collects behavior data including: A-B-C, count, frequency, duration, latency, inter-response time, event, and interval based recording
  • Follows the treatment plan goals and interventions utilizing sound judgment and seeks out appropriate consultation
  • Collaborates with family and treatment team members to provide treatment effectively and without disruption to the environment or other individuals in the environment
  • Applies feedback and training on ABA job performance given by the lead BCBA and/or BCaBA
  • Collects skill acquisition, behavior reduction data, and daily session notes

Qualifications

  • Well experienced in the field working with young adults
  • RBT Certification or Board Certified Autism Technician credential
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and families
  • Experience in behavioral therapy and applied behavior analysis
  • Knowledge of patient care and medical documentation practices
  • Previous experience in order to perform on-call services
  • Ability to assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and behavior management techniques
  • Ability to work in-home, community, AAC device training, church
  • Ability to teach community independence and safety, implement and generalize communication across settings and people, public transportation, etc.
  • Availability for respite care.

Job Type: Variable (part-time and full-time)

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
