Job Overview
We are a neurodiversity-affirming, trauma-informed, and LGBTQIA+ affirming therapy practice dedicated to creating inclusive, compassionate spaces for healing and self-discovery. Our clinicians provide care that honors clients’ lived experiences, identities, and autonomy while integrating evidence-based approaches that emphasize connection, self-compassion, and authenticity.

We are seeking a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in West Virginia who shares our passion for supporting neurodivergent and queer communities.

Who You Are

You are a clinician who believes that therapy should celebrate difference—not pathologize it. You are passionate about working with:

  • Autistic and ADHD clients
  • Individuals with OCD
  • Folks navigating eating disorders and body image challenges
  • Queer and gender-diverse clients

You approach your work with curiosity, compassion, and humility, and you value ongoing self-reflection and learning.

Qualifications

  • Required:
  • Current and active LPC license in the state of West Virginia (or eligible for licensure transfer).
  • Preferred Experience and Interests:
  • Experience working with neurodivergent, LGBTQIA+, and/or trauma-impacted clients.
  • Familiarity or interest in one or more of the following therapeutic modalities:
  • Person-Centered Therapy
  • Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT)
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
  • Internal Family Systems (IFS)
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
  • Mindfulness-Based Approaches

Values and Approach

We are looking for a therapist who is:

  • Queer-affirming and actively supportive of LGBTQIA+ clients.
  • Neurodiversity-affirming, understanding that neurological differences are natural variations of the human experience.
  • Weight-inclusive, rejecting diet culture and promoting body liberation.
  • Trauma-informed, practicing from a lens of safety, collaboration, and empowerment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual therapy (and optionally group therapy) to adolescents and adults.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
  • Participate in case consultation, peer support, and ongoing professional development.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary and affirming team environment that values autonomy, creativity, and balance.

What We Offer

  • Competitive compensation with flexible scheduling options.
  • Opportunities for professional development and training in affirming, evidence-based modalities.
  • Supportive and inclusive team culture with regular consultation and collaboration.
  • Hybrid or fully remote telehealth options available.
