What You’ll Do as a Behavior Technician:
- Provide 1:1 therapy sessions in home or school settings under the guidance of a supervisor.
- Record data on clients' progress and behavior.
- Implement treatment plans to support clients in developing essential life skills and achieving their goals.
- Collaborate with families and other team members to ensure meaningful outcomes for clients.
Compensation:
- We provide our new hires with intensive support and paid training to become effective and confident behavior technicians. You cannot beat the training provided at the Lovaas Institute!
- Positions offered at $25/hr for direct services with clients
- All field-based training paid at this same rate
- Additional self-guided training, including initial onboarding and online RBT coursework, paid at the tier 2 rate of $21/hr
- Candidates with Bachelors in progress will also be considered; rates are $22/hr for direct service, and tier 2 at $18/hr.
- Pay for drive time between job sites at tier 2 rate. Mileage reimbursement also offered for travel between job sites.
- Retention bonus awarded after 3 months based on meeting established performance criteria.
- Additional bonus pay offered after successfully passing RBT exam.
- Opportunities for advancement within the first year.
Positions available:
- Full Time (school and home based): Monday-Friday 8am-6pm (30-35 hrs/wk)
- Part Time (home based): Monday-Friday 3-6pm & some Saturday mornings as needed (10-15hrs/wk)
- Most positions follow the client’s school calendar with reduced hours during school breaks, with some positions offering summers off (depending on client needs)
- **Candidates must be available without extended time in October for onboarding and training
Locations:
Opportunities to serve clients in one or more communities in the Greater Los Angeles area, including but not limited to:
- Full Time: Westlake, Koreatown, Central LA/Larchmont, Beverly Grove/West Hollywood, and adjacent communities.
- Part Time: Playa del Rey, Westchester, and adjacent communities.
What We’re Looking for in a Behavior Technician:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, self-motivated, creative, and dependable.
- Energetic, animated, and outgoing, with a passion for helping children achieve their true potential.
- Experience working with children with autism or other developmental disabilities is a plus, but not required.
- Bachelor's degree is preferred. Degree in psychology, behavior analysis, or education recommended. Students actively pursuing their degree are also encouraged to apply.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.

Base Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
