- Assist and support parents in meeting the needs of children in their care.
- Monitor visits between foster children and relatives.
- Inspects foster homes for compliance with regulations once per month.
- Assists with foster parent training process.
- Complete home studies as needed.
- Communicate and develop working relationships with outside workers and agencies for casework purposes.

- Master’s Degree from an accredited or state-approved graduate school in social work or social welfare, marriage, family and child counseling, child psychology, child development, counseling psychology, or social psychology.
- Minimum of five years of experience in the role of social worker within the agency and good standing.
- Two years of supervisory experience is highly preferred.
- Expertise in the laws, rules, and regulations governing the operations of public social services agencies, Foster Family Agency homes (FFA), Resource Family Approval (RFA) and adoptions is required.
- Expert knowledge in child welfare principles consistent with the California Continuum of Care Reform is required.
