Summary
The Social Worker position is full-time and works out of the Chico CA office. This position serves the agency by supervising and coordinating children placed in certified foster homes, recruiting, evaluating and certifying potential foster homes, provide and arrange training for foster parents and liaison with other agencies. The position will be working with post adoptive families that are in need of resources, case management, and planning and facilitating groups and events. This position provides coordination and case work with the Adoptions, THP, THP Plus FCS, and THP Plus populations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Social Worker position is full-time and works out of the Chico CA office. This position serves the agency by supervising and coordinating children placed in certified foster homes, recruiting, evaluating and certifying potential foster homes, provide and arrange training for foster parents and liaison with other agencies. The position will be working with post adoptive families that are in need of resources, case management, and planning and facilitating groups and events. This position provides coordination and case work with the Adoptions, THP, THP Plus FCS, and THP Plus populations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide support and services to ensure stability of client placement in foster homes
- Monitor foster homes for compliance with Title 22 regulations
- Provide support and services to ensure stability of youth and families in adoptive homes
- Plan and facilitate family events and groups along with monthly respite nights
- Maintain timely progress, quarterly and/or court ordered reports
- Screen and evaluate intake admissions to appropriately match children in emergency placements

- Master’s in Social Work (Preferred) or related field, a Bachelor's at minimum is necessary.
- California driver license and clean driving record
- Experience working with at-risk children and families
- Understanding of the child welfare system
- Knowledge of group processes and the ability to apply
- Knowledge of 24-hour crisis intervention
The estimated base pay for the Social Worker position is $22.00 to $38.00 an hour; additional individual compensation may be available. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefit program is available for qualifying position.
