Summary
CBS is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and extremely flexible professional to join our team as a per diem Rehabilitation Counselor Onboarding Specialist. This vital role is responsible for providing full-service onboarding support to international employees joining CBS’s residential and day programs.
This position requires significant hands-on coordination, in-person assistance, and non-traditional work hours, including early mornings, late afternoons, and occasional weekend availability.
Responsibilities
- Pre-Arrival Coordination of International Employees:
- Schedule and confirm Mobile Health appointments for required medical testing.
- Personallygreet and transport new international hires from the airport or arranged location.
- Escort the employee to the Social Security Office and ensure the proper documentation is submitted.
- Assist with grocery shopping and any personal care needs upon arrival.
- Assist with purchasing or activating cell phone and confirming carrier preference.
- Facilitate bank account setup and ensure direct deposit documentation is submitted.
- Accompany employee to main office for new hire paperwork and fingerprinting
- Escort employee to the DMV and introduce the process for obtaining a local license.
- Facilitate a tour of the assigned worksite
- Provide a neighborhood orientation, including grocery stores, laundromats etc.
- Train international employees on use of public transportation.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Human Services, Counseling, Psychology, or related field (preferred).
- 1+ years of experience in onboarding, human services, international student/work programs, or case coordination.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Highly organized with exceptional interpersonal and cultural sensitivity skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, late evenings, or weekends as needed.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Experience working with international staff or immigrant populations.
- Knowledge of medical documentation, Social Security, DMV, and basic HR processes.
Job Type: Temporary
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
