Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and teach engaging psychology lessons that align with curriculum standards and course objectives, promoting critical thinking and inquiry-based learning.
- Create a supportive classroom culture that encourages active participation, collaboration, and respect for diverse perspectives.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to support a wide range of learners, including students with special needs and English language learners.
- Utilize various formative and summative assessment strategies to evaluate student learning and provide timely, constructive feedback to support academic development.
- Implement effective behavior management techniques to ensure a structured, respectful, and engaging learning environment that promotes student success.
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, or a closely related field is required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of one years of recent high school teaching experience in psychology, with a demonstrated record of instructional effectiveness (preferred).
- Proficient in a variety of teaching methodologies, assessment strategies, and educational technologies that enhance student engagement and support academic success.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
