About Us: Agape Groups is an organization committed to breaking the cycle of domestic violence. We are currently seeking a dedicated and empathetic individual to join our team as a DVRP Facilitators. As a crucial member of our organization, you will play a key role in facilitating interventions that promote accountability and change for individuals who have engaged in abusive behaviors.

Position Overview: The Batterers Intervention Group Facilitator will lead group sessions aimed at fostering self-awareness, accountability, and behavioral change among individuals who have exhibited abusive behaviors. This position requires a compassionate and skilled professional who is committed to creating a supportive and transformative environment for participants. The goal of the program is to provide these services in a grace and caring centered perspective.

(Training reimbursement may be possible and supervision may be possible).

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate group sessions for individuals enrolled in batterers intervention programs.
• Implement evidence-based intervention strategies to address abusive behavior and promote accountability.
• Create a safe and non-judgmental space for participants to explore and understand their actions.
• Collaborate with team members to develop and enhance intervention curriculum.
• Provide support, guidance, and resources to participants seeking to break the cycle of abuse.
• Complete required notes, documents and progress reports pertaining to groups sessions and individual sessions if being conducted.

Minimum Requirements:

• Completed or willingness to complete San Diego 40Hr DVRP Facilitator Video Training (pay assistance and reimbursement may be available ).
• Enrolled in a related master's program (e.g., Social Work, Counseling, Psychology).
• Previous experience in group facilitation , preferably in a batterers intervention or related setting.
• Demonstrated compassion and empathy for individuals seeking behavioral change.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to approach the work with cultural competence and sensitivity.
• Commitment to maintaining the confidentiality and privacy of participants.

Preferred Qualifications:

• California 40 Hour DVRP facilitator course certification- training reimbursement may be available upon hire and time-worked.
• Completed coursework in domestic violence prevention or related fields.
• Familiarity with evidence-based intervention models.
• Knowledge of local resources and services for individuals addressing abusive behaviors.
