Position Summary
The Mental Health Professional at [Clinic Name] provides high-quality, evidence-based therapy and mental health services to individuals, couples, and/or families. This role supports the emotional and psychological well-being of clients while collaborating with other members of the clinic’s interdisciplinary wellness team. Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care
- Provide individual, couples, or family psychotherapy using evidence-based modalities (CBT, DBT, EMDR, etc.)
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with HIPAA and IDFPR standards
- Support clients in goal setting, emotional regulation, trauma recovery, and behavior change
- Monitor progress and modify treatment plans as needed
Interdisciplinary Collaboration
- Coordinate care with other providers at the clinic, such as massage therapists, fitness trainers, nutritionists, and medical professionals
- Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and integrative wellness planning
- Refer clients to internal or external resources when appropriate
Compliance & Ethics
- Adhere to all applicable legal and ethical standards, including IDFPR, HIPAA, and professional licensing board requirements
- Stay current with required continuing education and clinical best practices
- Maintain professional liability insurance
Client Engagement & Accessibility
- Foster a supportive, inclusive, and trauma-informed therapeutic environment
- Offer telehealth or in-person sessions based on client needs and clinic capabilities
- Maintain cultural humility and sensitivity across diverse populations and mental health concern
Qualifications
Required:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related mental health field
- Active Illinois license (e.g., LPC, LCPC, LCSW, LMFT, or Licensed Clinical Psychologist)
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and clinical documentation skills
- Commitment to holistic, person-centered, and inclusive care
Preferred:
- Experience in an integrative or multidisciplinary clinic setting
- Training in specialized modalities (e.g., EMDR, somatic therapy, trauma-informed care)
- Familiarity with EHR platforms (e.g., SimplePractice, TherapyNotes, JaneApp)
- Comfort working with populations such as adolescents, BIPOC clients, LGBTQ+ individuals, or clients with chronic conditions
