Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated ABA Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in behavioral therapy and experience working with children, particularly those with autism and developmental disabilities. As an ABA Therapist, you will play a crucial role in implementing individualized treatment plans, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), and providing support to enhance the quality of life for our clients.
Duties
- Implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies to support clients in achieving their goals.
- Work closely with children, utilizing behavioral therapy techniques to promote positive behavior changes.
- Assist clients with ADLs, ensuring they receive the necessary support for daily living tasks.
- Collect and analyze data on client progress to inform treatment adjustments and improvements.
- Develop and maintain care plans that align with each client's unique needs and objectives.
- Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to create a comprehensive support network for clients.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Utilize knowledge of medical terminology to effectively communicate client needs and progress within the healthcare team.
- Provide patient care that emphasizes behavioral health and behavior management techniques.
Experience
- Previous experience in behavioral therapy or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with working with individuals on the autism spectrum is highly desirable.
- Experience in special education settings or roles involving care for individuals with developmental disabilities is advantageous.
- Strong teaching skills to facilitate learning and skill acquisition for clients.
- Proficiency in data collection methods relevant to behavioral analysis is essential.
