Job Summary
As a Social Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the well-being of individuals and families by providing essential support and guidance. You will engage with clients to assess their needs, develop tailored intervention plans, and facilitate access to resources that promote positive outcomes. Your expertise in crisis intervention, behavioral health, and child welfare will empower you to make a significant impact in the lives of those you serve.

What you’ll do

  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify client needs and develop appropriate intervention strategies.
  • Provide crisis management and intervention services to individuals facing challenging situations.
  • Offer addiction counseling and support for clients struggling with substance use issues.
  • Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to encourage positive behavioral changes in clients.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff members, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Collaborate with community organizations to connect clients with resources such as Section 8 housing assistance and workforce development programs.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Advocate for clients’ rights within the healthcare system, including Medicare services, ensuring they receive the support they need.

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in social work practice, particularly in crisis intervention and behavioral health settings.
  • Strong knowledge of child welfare practices and regulations.
  • Experience with supervising staff or mentoring interns is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with addiction counseling techniques and workforce development initiatives is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
