We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) to provide mental health counseling and emotional support to students at a Middle School. The clinician will work collaboratively with school staff, administrators, and families to promote the well-being and academic success of all students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling to students experiencing emotional, social, or behavioral challenges.
- Conduct mental health assessments and create treatment/intervention plans.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student well-being.
- Respond to crisis situations and provide short-term stabilization and referral as needed.
- Maintain detailed and confidential case documentation in compliance with school and district standards.
- Participate in Student Support Team (SST), IEP, and intervention meetings as required.
- Provide consultation and guidance to school staff regarding mental health and behavioral strategies.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Marriage & Family Therapy, Counseling, Psychology, or related field.
- Current California LMFT license (Board of Behavioral Sciences).
- Experience working with children or adolescents in a school or clinical setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary school team.
Compensation:
- Rate: $55–$60/hr (W2)
- Full-time, onsite role for the duration of the Leave of Absence coverage.
