Job Description: Behavior Technician

This role is for a newly credentialed or seasoned behavior technician in the field. The ideal candidate will have experience and passion for working with children with developmental disabilities and be credentialed as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) under the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).

You will work closely under an experienced Behavior Analyst, learning the ropes of applying fun, interactive methods to help these incredible kids grow and learn new skills through behavior therapy.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be consistent and reliable in attending sessions. You must be open to learn, growing, and assisting our clients in doing the same. If collaborating with other clinicians isn't your preference, this role might not be the one for you.

Our team frequently collaborates (on a weekly basis) with clinical supervisors, which is essential for providing clinical support and creating an incredible team culture.

Responsibilities:

Provide individualized in-home therapy to children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities, implementing therapy plans designed to meet their specific needs.

  • Foster open and honest communication, collaborating closely with your Case Manager to achieve meaningful outcomes and create positive behavior change in our clients' lives.
  • Embrace a playful and creative approach, implementing behavior plans through interactive activities and play, ensuring a fun and enjoyable experience for the children.
  • Accurately collect and record data on client behavior and progress toward skill acquisition goals.
  • Implement behavioral techniques outlined in clients' skill acquisition and behavior reduction plans with accuracy and consistency.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers, providing updates on client progress and discussing daily sessions.
  • Respect client confidentiality and uphold the safety, health, and dignity of all clients at all times.

  • Building strong relationships & teaching our clients new skills to help them overcome their behavioral challenges via in-person in-home therapy sessions.
  • To collaborate with our clinical supervisors to better understand the root cause of our client's behavior challenges
  • To help our clients learn grow & make meaningful progress in their journey.
  • Help build another team member up and create a fun work culture.

Position Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Be a licensed Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) in good standing.
  • If you don’t have the credentials but are interested in getting certified before starting the position, please apply anyway.
  • Access to reliable transportation. A valid driver’s license and car insurance required
  • Pass a background check
  • TB test required
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

Compensation

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
