Blue Sea is seeking licensed and experienced Mental Health Counselors, Social Workers, Behavior Intervention Specialists, and Psychologists to provide services to students (K–12) in school or home-based settings.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, School Psychology, or a closely related field.
- Active New York State License (LMHC, LMSW, LCSW, Psychologist, etc.).
- Experience providing therapeutic or behavioral services to children and adolescents preferred.
- Experience with Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) or Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP) a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and/or group counseling to students and families in school and/or home environments.
- Develop and implement behavior-focused interventions in alignment with IEP goals.
- Complete comprehensive assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and other documentation in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with families, school staff, and outside professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Participate in CSE meetings and team discussions as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA/FERPA guidelines.
