Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) to join the Regal Treatment team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to helping individuals and families overcome substance use disorders and related mental health issues. As an AMFT, you will provide individual, group, and family therapy, conduct assessments, and develop treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each client.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental health, substance use, and family dynamics.
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy, conduct assessments, and develop treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each client in collaboration with multidisciplinary team members.
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions using evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
• Facilitate psycho-educational and support groups focused on substance use recovery and family dynamics.
• Collaborate with medical professionals, case managers, and other therapists to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.
• Participate in treatment team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing training and professional development.
• Demonstrates ability to develop integrated summaries.
• Conducts per-admission assessments, psycho-social assessments, documentation and participates in intake and discharge process, while maintaining accurate and timely documentation of client progress and other required records.
• Provide crisis intervention and support as needed.
• Educate clients and their families about substance use disorders, treatment options, and recovery resources.
• Advocate for clients' needs within the facility and in the community.

Qualifications

• Valid AMFT license
• At least 3 years of experience as AMFT
• Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field from an accredited institution (highly preferred)
• Strong understanding and experience in working in substance abuse treatment; previous experience in detox or rehab treatment
• Proficient in evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency in maintaining accurate and appropriate documentation
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and ethical practice
• Must have a current TB screen, Health Screening, and CPR/First Aid Certification
• Knowledge or familiarity with KIPU
• 8-hour shift (ideally 9a-5p)
• Must be able to work on-site at facility for 8 hours per weekday, Winnetka, CA 91306 (Required)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $34.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
