Thank you for visiting our job posting. I am Dr. Kerry O'Reilly, and I have been the CEO and Clinical Director for Beachside since I started this company in 2010. Since those early days, we have grown into a group of 16 therapists with two full-time office staff. I am proud to say that we have been a preferred group provider for most of the major insurances companies for more than 12 years,

I know this isn’t the usual way to post a position, but I think it’s important to share a little about our culture, our values, and the kind of environment you will be working in if you choose to work with us. Before I get to that, I need to say upfront that this is both a remote and a hybrid position.

Insurance companies are requiring groups to provide some in-person sessions, so we need to hire therapists willing to work at least one day in our Ventura office.

I know there are a lot of companies out there looking for therapists, but I believe what sets us apart is that we value therapist care as much as client care.

Most of our therapists have been with Beachside for 5 to 11 years, and they stay because, in addition to being a great place to work, we offer connection and support.

We are a Ventura and Los Angeles mainstay and have an excellent track record. In fact, we recently discovered that analytics conducted on our company (by a major insurance company) showed that clients who visit Beachside return for a second visit 98% of the time, which is enormous! The state average is closer to 50 percent.

We believe our clients come back because our therapists work within their specialties to treat clients. None of this "one therapist fits all." We believe in the importance of the therapeutic relationship, and you, a therapist, can't provide that if you are working with clients outside your comfort zone or area of expertise.

We started Beachside Therapy in 2011 to fulfill a need in the community for affordable mental health services. We are well-known and highly regarded in the community.

At Beachside, two full-time office staff employees answer client calls in real-time from a real office and work to place them with the therapist who is best suited to help them. They are also there to help you so that you can focus on the work of being a therapist.

ARE WE THE RIGHT COMPANY FOR YOU?

Beachside Therapy is looking for therapists who want to be part of a community providing a hybrid of telehealth and in-person psychotherapy services.

We support our therapists emotionally and professionally. Beachside therapists get peer supervision, something many groups and telehealth companies do not offer. We meet for case conferences monthly via telehealth, where they can get input and help on complex cases.

We also meet on the first Monday of every month via Zoom to discuss any new company developments and allow our employees to bond. It allows us to chat and laugh together so that our employees don’t feel isolated and alone.

Our therapists are trained on our EHR system, helped to develop treatment plans, and coached about how to write therapy notes that meet insurance auditing requirements.

Therapists at Beachside are on all the major panels, and the application, credentialing and billing process is handled by our office staff, leaving therapists to focus on their clients

WHO ARE OUR CLIENTS?

We treat individuals, couples, children, teens, LGBTQ+, and seniors. Presenting issues include PTSD and complex trauma, eating disorders, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, career transitions, sex transitioning, HIV, and many other behavioral health conditions. We do not treat sexual offenders or court-ordered clients, as their needs are outside our area of expertise.

POSITION SUMMARY

We seek therapists to work weekdays, evenings, and weekends with a percentage of time spent working in person in our office. Therapists can choose their schedules as long as they are during times when there is a demand for services.,

We believe in a healthy work/life balance not only for our clients but for our staff as well.

Full-time is considered 25-30 client hours per week, as we know how mentally and emotionally challenging it is to do this kind of work. Part-time work is from 12-18 hours per week.

Psychotherapists for all age groups are needed. Our community has a massive need for therapists who treat eating disorders, complex trauma (EMDR), children, and adolescents.

Positions available for LCSW, LMFT, Ph.D., PsyD, clinicians

• W-2 Position
• Outpatient services
• Clinicians must have a current, valid independent license to practice in the State of California. We are not accepting associate licenses.
• We have a Full-time Administrative staff so clinicians can spend their time seeing patients
• We cover all overhead, including marketing, insurance verification, billing, credentialing with insurance companies, etc.
• Our credentialing staff will assist with insurance provider credentialing.

Requirements:

• Must be fully licensed (LMFT, LCSW, PSY) in the State of California. We cannot hire interns or associates.
• Must be willing to accept insurance and work within the requirements set by insurance companies regarding patient records.
• Must be a motivated professional, eager to learn and experience professional growth.
• Must be computer proficient as all aspects of the company are computerized and in the cloud.
• Ability to build rapport with clients
• Ph.D. or Master's Degree in Psychology or Social Work is required
• Outstanding written, verbal, and interactive communication skills
• Patient, professional, and compassionate personality

COMPENSATION

At Beachside, you will be offered our employee benefits package.

• The comprehensive benefits package for full-time therapists includes paid time off after one year, Beachside pays for your dental and vision plan. We offer a group Health Insurance plan with a monthly contribution of $125/month by Beachside for full-time employees.

Our dedicated office support team provides many services, including detailed client screening before placement, full credentialing setup, insurance and government regulation updates, live-person client phone support, and much more.

Our support staff has a virtual front desk meeting space (as well as in-person at the office) that is live Monday through Friday for easy clinician access.
