About Job

The Center for Sleep Medicine – Behavioral Sleep Medicine Program

Join our practice as a psychologist or LCSW!

The Center for Sleep Medicine is a progressive, AASM accredited, employee-owned sleep center currently seeking a clinician to join its behavioral sleep medicine (BSM) team. The Center for Sleep Medicine’s comprehensive staff includes physicians, dentists, nurse practitioners, psychologists, physician assistants and sleep technologists.

Our practice offers:

  • Competitive salary
  • Up to 25% of salary in additional tax deferred income/profit sharing as employee owner
  • Practice ownership stake within one year of start date
  • A 4 Day work week schedule
  • Ongoing sleep medicine training and supervision in a multidisciplinary team-based environment.
  • Flexibility to work in any of our five convenient locations
  • Benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance; 401(K), annual ESOP share distributions; vacation days; paid time off (PTO); sick days; and voluntary life, short-term disability (STD), and long-term disability (LTD) insurance.

As behavioral sleep medicine specialists, we provide services to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and medical populations. Treatment services are typically short term, cognitive behavioral in nature and focus specifically on the treatment of sleep disorders, including insomnia (CBT-i), night eating, shift work sleep disorders, pediatric sleep disorders, and behavioral issues affecting treatment compliance for sleep apnea.

We are looking for:

  • An IL licensed/license-eligible clinical or health psychologist, or LCSW
  • Post-doctoral candidates looking for clinical hours toward licensure and interested in establishing a career path in sleep medicine
  • Individuals interested in evolving into a leadership role within the practice

Applicants should have an interest in clinical work with an adult or pediatric clinical background. Experience in sleep medicine is not necessary but welcome. Training in behavioral sleep medicine can be provided. Must be open to both telehealth and face to face service provision.

Ideal applicants would be new or recently licensed individuals interested in clinical practice within a thriving specialty setting who are also interested in a longer-term career path with the company, evolving into program director overseeing training and supervision of all BSM providers. Work hours are Monday – Thursday 8am to 6pm.

Our comprehensive sleep medicine practice is unique in that employees are also owners of the practice. This means increased financial rewards associated with ownership and increased decision-making ability in the practice with opportunity to participate in practice leadership. Studies have shown that as an employee-owned company, our team members can potentially receive between 5% and 12% more in wages, and 2.5x greater wealth in retirement accounts when compared to similar positions in centers that are not employee owned. Employee-owned companies, like ours, are also more successful in recruiting talented, committed staff. If that's you, we look forward to discussing this opportunity with you.

This pay range reflects the Company's current estimate for this position at the time of posting. In accordance with applicable law, actual compensation will be determined based on relevant experience and other job-related qualifications or skills. The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.

Interested applicants should submit a CV/resume and letter of interest. We look forward to learning more about you!
