School Psychologist Job Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational assessments to identify student needs

  • Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement evidence-based interventions

  • Support students academic, behavioral, and emotional development

  • Participate in IEP and eligibility meetings and provide data-driven recommendations

  • Provide counseling, consultation, and crisis intervention services

  • Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal regulations related to special education services

Federal and State Requirements

  • Masters or Doctorate degree in School Psychology from an accredited program

  • Current Oregon School Psychologist license or eligibility for licensure required

  • Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, FERPA, and other applicable education laws

  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills

  • Fingerprinting and background clearance as required by Oregon school districts
