About Job
As a Juvenile Justice Care Coordinator (JJCC) for the Juvenile Justice Mentor program, you support youth involved in or at risk for gun, gang, and other violent activities by coordinating care and building strong relationships. You will collaborate with Tarrant County Juvenile Services, schools, faith communities, and local organizations to interrupt cycles of violence and promote positive change. Your responsibilities include processing referrals, conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and facilitating team meetings. You connect youth and families to community resources and provide skills training that supports academic, social, and emotional growth. As a liaison between MHMR, TCJS, and community partners, you help youth disengage from harmful behaviors and ensure they do not return to the Juvenile Justice system. On-the-job certification as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) is provided.

Qualifications
Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree
Defined Education: Health and Humans Services field of Applied Behavior Analysis - Child Development – Counseling - Early Childhood Education - Early Childhood Intervention - Education Psychology – Gerontology - Human Growth and Development – Medicine – Nursing - Physician Assistant – Psychology - Registered Nurse - Rehabilitation & Rehab Studies - Social Work – Sociology - or Special Education
Preferences: One year experience in healthcare/social services and/or direct care; Spanish fluency
Substitutions: Bachelor’s degree with 30 hours of courses equivalent to requirements for QMHP credentialing
License/Certifications: Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) OR eligible for QMHP certification (based on minimum and defined education above)
