This is an OPEN CONTINUOUS ANNOUNCEMENT and will remain open until December 2, 2025. Work Schedule: Full-time. Schedule will be determined by supervisor.
Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases
Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME)
Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA

Major duties include but are not limited to:
Clinical:
* Performs psychiatric evaluations and risk assessments. Creates and implements treatment plans which include behavioral and pharmacological interventions.
* The incumbent will be responsible for evaluation of patients in outpatient mental health clinics, substance use disorder treatment programs, and pain management clinic.
* Demonstrates skills in working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary treatment team and be able to provide specialty consultative knowledge and support to other services. Contributes to treatment planning and care coordination. Consults with medical center staff, both within and outside of the ATS or the PMT, on a wide variety of patient care issues.
* The incumbent will supervise trainees, including but not limited to medical students and residents.
* Provides oversight of the clinical activities of non-licensed staff as needed.
* Provides training to program staff and other health care providers, as needed.
* Practices safety, environmental, and/or infection control methods. Instructs other personnel assigned to health care team on preventive medicine programs and other appropriate medical activities and functions.
* Is responsible for timely completion of all clinical charting and documentation required by the Medical Center or healthcare system, as appropriate.
Administrative:
* Establishes an environment conducive to accountable, professional practice, treating all employees in a fair, objective manner.
* Functions collaboratively keeping the PMT Director, ATS Director and mental health clinical coordinators appraised of all critical incidents, the program's changing needs, staff issues/concerns, proposing needed changes in operating procedures and policies for review in consultation with PMT, MH and ATS leadership.
* Demonstrate leadership skills in design and implementation of programs. Demonstrate ability to have managerial experience in directing clinical staff, students and other programmatic responsibilities.
* Remains knowledgeable about current Joint Commission standards, current VHA policies and current VHA clinical practice guidelines and those of other relevant oversight groups and assists with policy and procedure development needed to ensure compliance.
* Serves on Medical Center or Healthcare System, VISN, and/or National VA committees or task forces as needed.
