The Aptus Group is looking for a dedicated Behavior Technician to join our team in the Compton, CA area. As a Behavior Technician, you will work one-on-one with an assigned student to help meet behavioral goals. Join our team and be a part of meaningful student progress.

Pay Rate: $21 - $27 per hour

Location: Compton, CA 90220

Schedule: Full Time (School operating hours)

Requirements:

Required: High School diploma or equivalent.
At least 60 college units or an AA/AS degree preferred
Minimum of 6 months of experience as a Behavior Therapist or Behavior Technician preferred
Coursework in child development, education, or psychology from an accredited institution is a plus.
General understanding of developmental disabilities, behavioral interventions, and instructional strategies.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Reliable transportation

Responsibilities:

Work one-on-one with special education students in the school setting.
Implement behavior intervention strategies in alignment with the student’s Behavioral Intervention Plan (BIP), with guidance from the Behavior Intervention Developer and classroom teacher.
Demonstrate appropriate response and implementation of feedback, as provided by the Behavior Intervention Developer
Data collection & data analysis on specific behaviors and skill’s targets for child development
Follow outlined company policies, guidelines, and protocols (including clinical & administrative)
Attend scheduled meetings and training
